Modmath Pricing Update — Coming in August 2025
We have some important news to share: subscription prices for our consumer (non-enterprise) version of Modmath will be increasing later this month.
This change allows us to continue delivering the quality, innovation, and accessibility you expect from Modmath, while keeping the platform sustainable for years to come. Upcoming enhancements — like Google Drive integration — are just the start of what’s ahead.
Two Versions of Modmath — Which One Applies to You?
Version 1 – Direct-to-Consumer (Public App)
This version is for anyone downloading Modmath from the Apple App or Google Play Stores. It can be installed on Apple devices (iPad/Mac) or Android devices (including Chromebooks). Pricing will change later this month: the monthly subscription will increase from $1.99 to $3.99, and the annual subscription will go from $14.99 to $29.99. Licenses can be shared across devices of the same type if they use the same account — for example, an Apple ID can be used for both an iPad and a Mac, and a Google ID can be used for both an Android tablet and a Chromebook. However, licenses cannot be used across Apple and Google platforms. The app is managed by the individual user.
Important: If you already have an active public version subscription, your price will not change. You’re grandfathered in at your current rate — no action required.
Version 2 – Enterprise (School App)
This version is purchased by schools for managed student devices through an enterprise process. It costs a one-time payment of $29.99 per device for a lifetime license, and this price is not changing. Licenses are associated with a device, not a user account. Schools IT administrators can reassign licenses to different devices as needed. As with the consumer version, cross-platform use is not supported — each device requires its own license. In this case, the school’s IT department manages the app, and there is no planned price change.
